Health Equity Series- Cancers Below the Belt
The Wright Center’s Health Equity Series is a quarterly exploration and community discussion of health disparities from collaborating partners locally, in Virginia and nationwide. Join VCU faculty, VCU Health medical providers and expert guests from the community as they present on the latest research, listen to attendees and plan a way forward – through community-engaged research and increased awareness for all.

You're invited to participate, as our collaborating partners provide information on advances, gaps, and shared resources for minority health research. Join Dr. Luisel Ricks-Santi, director of the Hampton Cancer Center for Research, Terrance Afer-Anderson, writer-producer-director of "The Black Walnut" and prostate cancer survivor, and Renee Malone, program director for Hitting Cancer Below the Belt, Inc., founded in memory of the executive director's husband, who died from colorectal cancer. They will discuss prostate and colorectal cancers and how they affect African Americans.
