Dr. Megan Killian
Assistant Professor @University of Michigan, Ann Arbor
Dr. Killian is an expert in the development and mechanically-induced adaptation of the tendon-bone attachment. She has >10 years of experience using mouse models to understand the cellular, molecular, and mechanobiological regulators of the tendon-bone attachment. She started her independent research laboratory in 2016 at the University of Delaware as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. In February 2020, she relocated to Michigan Medicine at the University of Michigan where she is an Assistant Professor in the Orthopaedic Research Laboratories (ORL) in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. She received a BS in Biomedical Engineering (Michigan Technological University) and graduate training in human movement biomechanics (MS, Montana State University) and meniscus mechanobiology (PhD, Michigan Technological University). She completed postdoctoral training at Washington University School of Medicine in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.
